Recioto della Valpolicella DOCG Bertani is a red and sweet wine, produced with Corvina and Rondinella grapes from the hills of Valpantena, the same varieties with which Amarone is produced. It comes from the smallest bunches that are better exposed to the sun, then dried for about three months on the traditional “aréle”. The typical hints of cherry are enhanced by the particular refinement in cherry wood barrels to become a concentrate of morello cherries and sour cherries, with a dense and velvety result, never cloying.
Meditation wine, has a garnet red color and aromas of forest fruit jam, with hints of tobacco, chocolate and licorice. Softness and thickness on the palate, with a very spicy finish.
Ideal at the end of a meal, it goes well with custard-based desserts. Also excellent for meditation.
