In the top line Sanct Valentin the winemaker Hans Terzer expresses all his skill and experience. Using only the finest grapes from the Cantina San Michele Appiano territory, he makes elegant, layered and multidimensional wines, characterized by exquisite minerality, elegant aromas and excellent aging potential.
With the attribute of “passito” we mean those wines obtained from grapes left to dry in the air or in the sun, until almost withering. In South Tyrol this almost always happens in the vineyard, i.e. the clusters remain on the plant until the end of the year. The elegant Passito Comtess, since 1989, impresses with its intense fruit, soft and creamy body, ample entry and the palate enlivened by a note of freshness given by a purebred acidity. The fresh youthful aromas, in the face of a correct storage in the bottle, gradually become more complex, tending in particular towards delicate honeyed notes.
Tasting Notes
In the glass it is golden yellow. Fruity aromas of apricot, ripe exotic fruit and honey emerge on the nose. On the palate it is opulent, balanced, concentrated.
Pairings
This fruity dessert wine goes beautifully with blue cheeses, but also with fruit-based desserts such as apple strudel, apple fritters with vanilla ice cream, peach melba.
