Wine icon of a philosophy of thought and work. Sessantanni Primitivo di Manduria PDO is the label that changed the perception of Apulian wines in the world. From grapes from old vines with at least sixty years of age and trained in the sapling, traditional Apulian system. Muscular and powerful in the mouth, complex on the nose, characteristics conferred both by the vine and by the ripening of the primitivo, which in this way manages to express the full potential of the varietal. The wine also ages 12 months in French and American oak barriques, to further enhance its spicy and toasted texture.
Tasting Notes
Very intense and elegant ruby red color; ample and complex bouquet, fruity with notes of plums, cherry jam to which a slight spiciness and notes of tobacco are added. Full-bodied wine, soft and rich in noble tannins, with a finish that gives notes of cocoa, coffee and vanilla.
Pairings
Ideal to accompany meat-based preparations and aged cheeses.
