A bubble that conquers by virtue of its softness and creaminess, yet another success of one of the most famous Maison in the world, few producers can boast a tradition like that of the Roederer. Rosè Vintage Brut is produced from a blend consisting of 65% from Pinot Nero and 35% from Chardonnay, with grapes from Cumeriès, a well-known municipality in which the soils are of clayey limestone. The fermentation of the base wines takes place mostly in steel, with a 20% which ferments instead in wooden barrels. The refermentation takes place in the bottle according to the classic or champenoise method. The long aging of 48 months in the bottle gives the liquid greater complexity and depth, as well as the calibrated dosage is a sort of trademark of the Roederer family.
Tasting Notes
It is presented in the glass with a coppery pink color and a fine and persistent perlage. An extremely variegated nose, in which the richness of nuances does not preclude the generous sunshine that the liquid brings as a dowry. Citrus fruits, custard, currants and rose hips are just some of the descriptors that flash in the mind at the first smell. The sip is no exception and reveals a liquid in which creaminess and a contribution of freshness and flavor are beautifully blended, a true manifesto of elegance. An unmissable bottle for lovers of bubbles, especially if rosé, given that this bottle is at the top of its type.
Pairings
With refined dishes such as oysters and caviar but also shellfish and raw fish in general.
