Passerina is the typical vine of Central Italy, cultivated especially in the Marche and in the province of Frosinone. Its berries are small and pulpy, particularly loved by the sparrows which, it is said, inspired the name. The Passerina signed by Fazi Battaglia comes from Passerina 100% grapes. After the harvest, the best bunches are selected and then softly pressed. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a temperature between 14 ° C and 16 ° C. The wine is always aged in steel on noble lees for a few months before being bottled.
Tasting Notes
it has a straw yellow color in the glass. The nose reveals hints of peach, apricot and yellow pulp fruit, combined with delicate herbaceous notes. The taste is agile and lively, played on a good balance between freshness and flavor. Pleasantly fruity finish.
Pairings
It goes well with fresh and semi-aged cheeses and with simple and tasty recipes based on fish and shellfish.
