Franciacorta Brut di Ferghettina represents the soul and style of the splendid reality of Roberto Gatti, which comes to life in the splendid setting of the hills of Adro, in the Brescia area.
The Chardonnay grapes, mainly, and Pinot Noir are pressed into whole bunches in an extremely delicate way. Only the free-run must obtained from the first pressing, the one with the best quality characteristics, reaches the fermentation tank. The wine stops until the following spring and is then bottled for the second fermentation. Aging on the lees lasts for 24 months.
Tasting Notes
Straw yellow, with a fine and persistent perlage. The nose expresses beautiful citrus notes that in a few moments give way to hints of white pulp fruit and bread crust. In the mouth it is fresh, decisive, long. Traces of hazelnut and white flowers accompany its development until a fine and persistent closure.
Pairings
Bubble that goes perfectly with delicate first courses and second courses based on fish, even raw. Also recommended with shellfish.
