Tasting Notes
Intense ruby red color, bright and lively. The nose opens on clear fruity notes, reminiscent of ripe cherry, plum and morello cherry, then followed by references to licorice, undergrowth and Mediterranean scrub. The palate is fresh and full-bodied, consistent with the sense of smell and of good persistence. The finish is pleasantly savory.
Pairings
Ideal in combination with medium-aged cheeses and cured meats or with grilled tuna or squid and potatoes. Perfect with cavatelli with cherry tomatoes and caper leaves.
