The objective of the Bastianich winery is to absorb the history and culture of the area, creating unique wines that narrate the place but which, at the same time, demonstrate to stand out for their body, structure and balance. The vineyards are cultivated with effort and dedication, in full respect of the rhythms of nature. The cultivation practices in the vineyard are aimed at preserving as much as possible the vine and the soil on which it is planted and also the harvest is totally manual.
The Friulano "Plus" signed by Bastianich is a white wine of great structure, whose grapes come from a single vineyard with vines over 70 years old on top of a beautifully exposed hill, which is produced using a small percentage of passito wine.
Tasting Notes
Straw yellow with golden reflections, the nose expresses an olfactory profile of great charm: citrus aromas of mandarin, orange, lemon anticipate fruity hints of melon and pear. The subsequent mineral background introduces a taste of excellent richness and complexity, one that does not leave indifferent. Dry but at the same time soft and velvety, it is characterized by a balance all played on a certain three-dimensionality. It closes with a finish of great cleanliness and persistence.
Pairing
It can accompany foie gras and shellfish. Also with soft cheeses. Try it with spicy dishes such as Thai and Vietnamese.
