The objective of the Bastianich winery is to absorb the history and culture of the area, creating unique wines that narrate the place but which, at the same time, demonstrate to stand out for their body, structure and balance. The vineyards are cultivated with effort and dedication, in full respect of the rhythms of nature. The cultivation practices in the vineyard are aimed at preserving as much as possible the vine and the soil on which it is planted and also the harvest is totally manual.
It is the flagship wine of the company, born back in 1997 as the bearer of a strong and clear enological message: the Friulian white wines, in their best productive expressions, have nothing to envy both in terms of quality and longevity to the other big of the international 'bianchista' scene. It is precisely from the longevity that the White Vespa has made its strength and built its future, splendid, destiny, still giving us qualitative expressions that definitely make us dream.
Tasting Notes
From its youth its color gives nuances of yellow and gold of ancient reflections, very bright and extraordinarily clean. On the nose, the notes of wax, apricots in alcohol, broom and honey give the wine an immediate fresh yet structured impact. Its minerality is incredible, which elevates it vertically and gives it extraordinary freshness. In the mouth all the complexity, enveloping, silkiness and structure of the wine expand with incredible finesse and elegance, giving rise to sensations of caressing voluptuousness.
Pairings
It goes perfectly with coquillages and crustaceans even though it serenely faces any type of white meat and structured preparation (even smoked). Unrepeatable if tasted alone, perhaps after a hard day's work.
