Of all the sub-areas of Valtellina, that of Sassella is certainly the most famous, it is here that some of the most balanced and elegant wines of the whole denomination are born. Aldo Rainoldi produces a red wine with characteristics of particular harmony which today, just five years after the harvest, proves to be relaxed and very pleasant. Aldo Rainoldi's Valtellina Superiore DOCG Sassella is a great Valtellina to drink, whose extraordinary gastronomic vocation leads it to exalt itself at the table, with some of its most classic combinations.
Ruby red, the nose expresses beautiful notes of plum, carob, plum and violet. In the mouth it is fresh and velvety, with great gustatory harmony thanks to a tannic texture that is never invasive and a nice length, which leads it to a finish of great elegance.
Throughout the meal, Sassella is Valtellina which goes well with great game, roast and grilled dishes. Also at the end of the meal, with a plate of medium-aged cheeses.
