An Aglianico del Vulture that comes from the vineyards of Barile, in Basilicata, located on the slopes of Monte Vulture, a large extinct volcano in Southern Italy. The harvest takes place by hand in early October. Alcoholic fermentation takes place at a maximum temperature of 25 ° C, followed by malolactic fermentation always in steel.
It has an intense ruby red color with slight garnet reflections. On the nose, currants dominate the scene, spreading out on a moderately spiced bed. On the palate it is dry and savory, with great persistence.
It offers excellent second courses based on red meats or game. It is excellent to accompany a platter of aged cheeses.
