Elena Walch's Selezione line includes predominantly mono-varietal wines from family properties and rented vineyards. Merlot is one of the wines that best describes the typicality of the type and the natural elegance of South Tyrolean reds. Long contact with the skins for a period of 10 days; slow fermentation at controlled temperature in steel tanks; then the malolactic fermentation in 80hl French and Slavonian oak barrels. Refinement in large oak barrels follows.

A lively garnet red characterizes Elena Walch's Merlot. The wine has an intense and refined nose, with fruity notes of wild berries, spicy aromas and a hint of chocolate. Captivating tannins, a decisive structure together with body and elegance are released in the mouth, ending in a very pleasant drink that emphasizes the softness and flavor of the wine.
