The wines from the selected vineyards are ambassadors of their own terroir and uniquely reflect the strengths of the various small plants. Generally, these are single plots on which vines have been cultivated for centuries. Depending on the variety, the wines are vinified in steel or wood, so that they develop full complexity and a refined bouquet. The strict directives on quality, the intense manual work and the demanding care of the vineyard allow them to become what they are: refined wines, with character and well structured.
Introduced in its second homeland - South Tyrol - as early as 1850, Pinot Bianco is one of the most important white wines of our cellar. Bottled for the first time in 1982, Schulthauser is today one of the best known Pinot Blancs on the South Tyrolean panorama. A complete wine, finely fruity and fresh, able to seduce the palate both for its creamy softness and for its marked acidity.
Tasting Notes
Straw yellow, the nose expresses all the typicality of the varietal thanks to beautiful notes of apple, apricot and pear. In the mouth it is fresh, long, velvety and elegant. A good acidity outlines the trait up to an impeccably clean finish.
Pairings
Pairing advice: typical aperitif and summer wine, but also versatile accompaniment to dishes: it is recommended both on seafood and fish in general, as well as on delicate dishes of feathered game. A particularly recommended combination is with Tyrolean “Schlutzkrapfen” or cheese dumplings.
