Campania IGT Rosso “Core” 2020 – Montevetrano

Core is a red wine IGT Campania, from Aglianico grapes in purity (100%). It is produced in Sannio, in the province of Benevento, and bottled by the Montevetrano farm. The origin of the grapes has long been evaluated and researched, finally finding the ideal place in the Sannio area: mature vineyards, dedicated to the cultivation of Aglianico in which the volcanic nature of the soil with the presence of tuff, volcanic ash and limestone allows these grapes to express themselves with the highest quality.

A wine followed with the passion and knowledge that distinguishes it, by the oenologist Riccardo Cotarella who, as for Montevetrano, has realized another intuition of Silvia Imparato: wanting to represent a typical wine of the territory with the same quality as Montevetrano. We have chosen a native vine, Aglianico in purity which for us represents the archetype of Wine; what Silvia Imparato's grandparents made her taste when she was a child; Core was released on the market to celebrate Montevetrano's twenty years. It has a round and warm name: Core means love in dialect and center, essence, in English. A wine of harmony and Heart.

Tasting Notes

In the glass it shows a ruby color, concentrated and not very penetrable. The aromas that envelop the nose move on an orchestrated texture of red fruit and spices, from which a pleasant note of myrtle also emerges. On the palate it is full-bodied, full and round, with a refined sip, in which the tannin is crunchy; ends with a finish with excellent persistence, characterized by a fruity aftertaste.

Ideal to accompany first courses based on meat sauce, braised meat and game.
