Vinificato per la prima volta nel 1959, lo Champagne Brut Grand Siècle di Laurent-Perrier combina raffinatezza, potenza ed equilibrio, nascendo da uve provenienti dai più prestigiosi cru della regione. Riposa sui lieviti dai sette agli otto anni, e ricorda nel nome il XVII secolo, chiamato appunto Grand Siècle, perché epoca in cui con la corte del Re Sole Luigi XIV fiorirono le arti e iniziò a essere apprezzato il buon cibo. È distribuito con una bottiglia elegante e dal collo lungo e snello, che ricorda i contenitori soffiati a bocca dai mastri vetrai nei quali era imbottigliato lo Champagne proprio per la corte reale francese. Nobile e distinto, è il meglio del meglio.

Tasting Notes

Brilliant yellow with golden reflections and refined and lasting perlage. Intense and complex on the nose, with hints of candied citrus fruits followed by aromas of brioche and toasted almonds, nuances of honey and gingerbread, and fresh floral tones. The mouth is silky, mineral and fresh, characterized by an aromatic and fruity finish.

Pairings

Accompanies fish, shellfish and seafood. Try it as an accompaniment to scallops with truffles.
