For this, the artist was called upon to create this splendid Dom Perignon - Limited Edition - Vintage 2006, to celebrate the time that transforms the ordinary into the extraordinary. A splendid Champagne that expresses itself in a powerful way, as well as in its label, also in its rich and intense taste.

Dom Pérignon creates only Vintage Champagne, elaborated from the best grapes selected in a single vintage. It never stops reinventing itself, to always interpret the exclusive character of each season in the best possible way. He refuses compromises, giving up the creation of the Millesimato when the harvest is not up to par. After an elaboration of at least eight years, the wine reaches a perfect balance, the most beautiful promise of the Maison. This is Dom Pérignon Vintage, the Plénitude of Harmony.

Dom Pérignon is inspired by the creative legacy of Dom Pierre Pérignon, a young Benedictine monk who grew up in Sainte-Menehould, in the Champagne-Ardenne region, who grew up in close contact with wine, working in the vineyards of his father and uncles. After becoming a priest, at the age of 30 he became treasurer and head of the vineyards of the Benedictine monastery of Saint-Pierre d'Hautvillers: an important task for a structure that basically supported itself by selling its own wine. His passion for oenological excellence led him to want to create the "best wine in the world" to serve his community and the glory of God.

Tasting Notes

Brilliant straw yellow with golden reflections, with a very fine and persistent perlage. What is immediately striking is the impression of balance of the bouquet, pure, airy and luminous. A floral and fruity tone then develops, which is quickly enriched with candied fruit, ripe hay and toasted notes, accompanied by hints of licorice. It is in the palate that this wine reveals its opulence, measured and at the same time delicious and enveloping. As the aromas evolve and expand, becoming more complex and intriguing, and the creaminess gives way to a more silky texture. In the end, everything is resolved in an exquisite bitter note, embellished with an iodized touch

It is enhanced with smoked fish appetizers, fish tartare, steamed fish and crustaceans, but also with dishes rich in aromas, from a great Iberian ham to recipes based on white truffles.
