On the slopes of Etna, which rises majestically to protect the vineyards, there are two cultivars that most represent the viticultural vocation of the territory: the Carricante and the Nerello Mascalese. From these grapes with a strong personality are born the new wines of Etna di Mandrarossa, children of the black earth, where Nerello Mascalese gives a wine characterized by vigor, determination and warmth. Sentiero delle Gerle is their name, inextricably linked to the place where they are born, in the territory of Linguaglossa, to an ancient history that sees women as protagonists, true guardians of the vineyard.
Refine for 10/12 months in French oak barrels. Rich on the nose and pleasant structure on the palate, it gives a taste of beautiful elegance and discreet freshness, inviting over and over again to the glass.
Garnet red to the eye, it expresses complex sensations of currants, blackberries, plums, spices and coffee on the nose. Full-bodied and excellently balanced taste, thanks to the elegant tannins and the discreet freshness, which helps to make it persistent.
Excellent in combination with red meats, stewed and roasted, it also goes well with cured meats.
