Livio Felluga's Friulano is the traditional label, dedicated to the wine that made the history of the territory. Once known as Tocai, it is produced with the Bordeaux variety Sauvignonasse, imported to Friuli during the nineteenth century and which found in these lands the ideal habitat to express itself on excellent quality levels. The mild and breezy climate, with almost Mediterranean summers and very suitable soils, allow to obtain ripe and rich grapes, which give a harmonious and soft white, particularly ductile in combinations at the table.

The manual harvest generally takes place in the second half of September. The bunches are de-stemmed and the grapes are cold macerated for a short period, before proceeding to soft pressing. The must ferments in stainless steel vats at a controlled temperature. The wine ages for six months in steel tanks on the fine lees, in order to acquire body and greater aromatic complexity.

Tasting Notes

In the glass it has a light yellow color with luminous golden reflections. The olfactory picture is rich and intense, with citrus aromas, floral nuances, aromas of yellow pulp fruit, peach, apricot and soft hints of tropical fruit. On the palate it has a good structure, with a rich and enveloping sip, which extends harmoniously and persistently towards a balanced freshness finish, characterized by a pleasant almond note.

Pairings

It goes perfectly with raw ham, salami and sausages in general; it also pleasantly accompanies fish dishes, fresh and fatty cheeses.
