The Per '' e Palummo, also known as Piedirosso, is a native Campanian red grape variety with a characteristic red-tinted pedicel, reminiscent of the legs of pigeons. This red wine is made entirely from grapes of this variety, which come from the vineyards in Faiano and Serrara Fontana, southwest of Ischia. After a fermentation with maceration of the internal berries of 5-10 days it remains to refine further in the bottle.
Tasting Notes
It has a ruby red color of beautiful intensity. The nose is vinous, with delicate olfactory traces of strawberry and raspberry. It is strong and pronounced, but at the same time very soft to the taste.
Pairings
Ideal on grilled or roasted red meats, it goes well with spicy and aged cheeses.
