Pulenta Estate was born in 2002, in Agrelo, in the wonderful wine-growing region of Mendoza, a stone's throw from the Andes, and with vineyards located in the best areas of the country. The wines of the Estate certainly benefit from the incredible terroir of these great vineyards, in the heart of Mendoza and Argentina, which make their organoleptic profile unmistakable.
Pulenta Gran Malbec is obtained from the best vineyards of the Valle de Uco (Viñedos de Don Antonio) and Agrelo (La Zulema). The grapes are harvested by hand and deposited in 18 kg crates to preserve their integrity and quality. After a cold maceration, they ferment in small steel tanks and oak barrels, and then rest in French oak barrels for about 18 months before being marketed.
Dark red with bright purple reflections in the glass. The nose opens on fruity hints of red and black fruits, among which cherries and ripe strawberries stand out, followed by pleasant notes of violets and vanilla with hints of wood in the background. On the palate it is soft and well structured, with a fruity and pleasantly long sip.
To be paired with main courses of red meat, roasts and braised meats, this Argentine Malbec is particularly suitable for convivial moments with friends or family, such as a barbecue or an informal evening.
