Rosso di Montefalco is certainly the red that accompanies everyday life. A wine of extraordinary freshness and balance, the result of a traditional blend of Sangiovese, Sagrantino and Merlot which is left to mature for about a year in large oak barrels. Arnaldo Caprai's Montefalco Rosso DOC is a wine of rare pleasure, a great companion to the table both today and between different seasons.
Tasting Notes
Ruby red, the nose expresses beautiful notes of wild flowers, red fruits and a touch of nutmeg. On the palate it is dry, fresh, characterized by a certain softness in contrast to the tannins. Balanced and very pleasant, it closes on slightly more bitter notes.
Pairings
For the whole meal it goes well with appetizers of cured meats and medium-aged cheeses, succulent first courses and roasted white and red meats.
