Montepulciano d'Abruzzo Marina Cvetic Iskra di Masciarelli was born in vineyards located in the Teramo municipality of Controguerra, on the Aprutinian hills. It is produced entirely with Montepulciano grapes, harvested by hand in the first half of October. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature. Subsequently the wine matures in oak barrels for 12 months and refines for another 24 months in the bottle before being put on the market.
Tasting Notes
It announces itself upon visual examination with a dark and impenetrable color, iridescent between ruby and shades of purple. Deep nose, which is accompanied by stratified notes that start from fruit, declined with different nuances, to reach up to aromatic herbs and light references to leather and licorice. On the palate it is of excellent thickness, with a vital and energetic sip, which absorbs the drink with a fresh and composed sip.
Pairings
Perfect in combination with roast lamb and stewed meats, this wine is ideal to accompany rich and spicy foods.
