Rum Explorer is an international project dedicated to the selection of exclusive barrels, created by Château du Breuil, a well-known company for the production of the highest quality Calvados. Dominican Republic is produced by Alcoholes Finos Dominicanos, the distillery opened in 2010, is one of the main agricultural companies in the country, located in ST Pedro de Macoris. The distillery is very attentive to social and environmental criteria (97% certified as responsible for the environment and self-sufficient from an energy point of view using cane bagasse (fibrous residues) in the boilers). Its plantations represent 2700 hectares of reeds. One of the most modern distilleries in the Caribbean / Latin America.
Rum blend from 3 to 8 years in ex-Bourbon and ex-Porto barrels, with finish at Château du Breuil in ex-Calvados barrels to give aroma and refinement.
Coppery with rosy reflections. The nose offers hints of orange, coffee and vanilla. Notes of black cherry and caramel emerge. On the palate it is decisive with notes of coffee and cocoa, followed by spices and berries. Full and silky finish with excellent persistence.
Ideal to serve neat or with a cigar, perfect with chocolate.
