The novelty of the Mastrojanni winery: the Ciliegiolo. The history of the Ciliegiolo vine begins in Italy around 1870 when some pilgrims returning from a mystical journey to Santiago de Compostela in Spain brought with them some cuttings which, planted, found suitable land in some areas of Tuscany. Also known by the name of Ciliegiolo di Spagna for the aroma reminiscent of cherry, it is a wine to be consumed immediately or blended, but some winemakers, such as Matrojanni, work it alone with excellent results. Lively and delicate in offering fruity and floral notes that chase each other during the entire tasting.
With an intense ruby red, full of violet reflections, it has an aromatic profile all played on the tones of red fruit, with prevailing hints of blueberry and obviously of cherry. Full-bodied and balanced in acidity, it will be the ideal accompaniment to your dinners.
Ideal in combination with first courses of land, roasted white meats and cold cuts platter.
