The character of this wine reflects a little that of those who, with so much sweat and effort, cultivate the vine in this inaccessible corner of Valtellina. Aldo Rainoldi's Valtellina Superiore DOCG Inferno, after a long maceration, ages for two years in oak barrels and for another year in bottle. After 3 years it is able to express all its personality, giving those who drink it a very profound sensory experience.
Tasting Notes
Ruby red in color with garnet reflections, the nose explodes with an intense fruitiness, cherry, strawberry, raspberry and blackberry, immediately followed by floral and spicy aromas. In the mouth it is very balanced, the tannin is softened by the body and the softness of the fruit, the alcohol is hardly perceived. The finish is very long and fruity, with a strawberry and cherry flavor that continues in the mouth for a long time.
Pairings
A very full-bodied wine with intense flavors that goes well with red meat and game dishes, such as stewed wild boar.
