The production of Vinsanto in Tuscany, and in the Chianti Classico area, dates back at least to medieval times. According to the dictates of tradition and a strict disciplinary, the Vinsanto Tenute Marchese Antinori is produced, with selected Trebbiano and Malvasia grapes that are dried naturally, a method that requires time and patience, and which give life to an intense and very pleasant wine for the its richness of aromas and its softness on the palate. The first vintage of Vinsanto Marchese Antinori was 1987.
It has a dark amber color with golden reflections. On the nose, sweet notes of dried fruit, such as hazelnut and dates, are combined with intense sensations of candied orange, honey, and a slight hint of chestnut flour. On the palate it is full, soft, supported by a pleasant freshness that makes it lively and pleasant. Good gustative persistence.
Ideal with Cantuccini and desserts. It goes perfectly with medium-aged cheeses, blue cheeses and fois gras. Also perfect in combination with dry cakes, pastries and apple pies.
