Serragrilli is a gentle hill in the municipality of Neive facing south-west, where the Nebbiolo grapes receive the sun's rays until late in the evening. The soil has a uniform structure and composition. The soil is compact and the correlation between macro and microelements is homogeneous, clay and limestone are covered by an adequate mantle of quartz sands and very fine silt. The vineyard extends in the upper part of the hill, until it reaches the ridge.

Always recognized as an area with a high wine-growing vocation, Serragrilli produces a Barbaresco of great pleasure: with a strong and full-bodied taste but, at the same time, harmonious and balanced, with sweet tannins, never too evident, which ensure excellent longevity. The Barbaresco Serragrilli reaches maturity 4 years after the harvest and the maturation plateau is between 4 and 20 years.

Tasting Notes

The color is ruby red, with garnet reflections. The scent is intense, persistent, with a clear hint of small fruits, rose hips and spices. The flavor is full-bodied, but, at the same time, harmonious and balanced, with sweet tannins, never too much in evidence.
