Quando si pensa alla cantina Renato Ratti, non si può non ricordare il Marcenasco, primo esempio di vinificazione di un singolo cru di Barolo DOCG in tutto il Piemonte, nel lontano 1965. Un prodotto sempre al top dell’intera gamma aziendale, dove i profumi, variegati e concentrati, aprono a un sorso sì muscolare, ma sempre in perfetto equilibrio. Le uve di nebbiolo fermentano alcolicamente alla temperatura controllata di 30 °C in acciaio; segue poi la fase di affinamento, svolta in botti di rovere di diverse capacità per 24 mesi. Un grande rosso che sfida lo scorrere del tempo.
At sight it shows a garnet red color. The set of aromas that develops on the nose highlights floral, fruity and spicy notes, which coexist in a perfect bouquet. In the mouth it is full-bodied, round, powerful, with well-worked tannins.
Excellent with meat on the spit and with recipes based on game, it is also to be tried with aged cheeses. Perfect with a roast veal with hazelnuts.
