Barolo Monfalletto di Cordero di Montezemolo is born in Monfalletto vineyards, in the municipality of La Morra, in the province of Cuneo.
It is produced with grapes of the Nebbiolo variety in purity, harvested at perfect maturity between the end of September and that of October. The vinification takes place separately, vineyard by vineyard, with maceration for 4-5 days and fermentation for 10-12 days at a controlled temperature. After malolactic fermentation, the different batches refine in various types of French and Slavonian wood between 18 and 24 months, followed by assembly and bottling with a further stop in glass for 12 months before being marketed.
Tasting Notes
Barolo Monfalletto by Cordero di Montezemolo is cloaked in a beautiful intense garnet color. It has evident floral notes on the nose that are accompanied by hints of tobacco, cocoa, cherries in alcohol and raspberry. Wine of great taste richness, it is particularly full-bodied and elegant.
