The Cilento terroir comes to life in Luigi Maffini's wines with exciting olfactory contours and dimensions. An intense red with character, Cenito is a label with a marked propensity for aging that can be tasted even after 10 years. The grapes are harvested in the first and second ten days of October. Following a careful selection of the bunches and a soft crushing-destemming, the fermentation takes place in steel at a controlled temperature of 25 ° C. Aging in new oak barrels for 18 months follows.
Tasting Notes
Intense ruby red. The nose has notes of currant, blackberry and cocoa; on the palate it is dense, with a soft tannic structure and hints of spices, hazelnuts and licorice.
Pairings
Excellent with red meats, roasted and stewed, it is also ideal to accompany game and aged cheeses.
