The beautiful estate of La Braccesca extends over a total area of 420 hectares and is composed of two separate bodies: the historic core of the company is located in the Montepulciano area while the other, with 162 hectares of vineyards, is located at foot of the hills surrounding Cortona. It is here that Syrah, a historic variety of the Rhône, has found its Italian land of choice, leading to wines that are as concentrated as they are rich in beautiful details. “Achelo” is a rich and dynamic red, which combines the typical depth of the variety with that typical freshness of vintage wines.
Tasting Notes
Intense purplish red, the nose gives the typical hints of the grape such as white pulp fruit combined with tobacco and pepper. On the palate it is full and soft, with the return of white peaches, plums and blackberries which, together with the balanced acidity, hints of tobacco and spices, accompany the whole tasting.
Pairings
Throughout the meal, it is enhanced with rich first and second courses, rich in aromas and spices. Excellent with black pepper pork tenderloin.
