The Blanc Centenaire of Domaine Lafage is an exceptional wine, to be tasted young and served chilled, to fully enjoy its aromatic nuances and complex and varied bouquet.
Obtained from vineyards of about 100 years of age, of the Côtes du Roussillon, with pebbly soil and a Mediterranean-maritime climate, the Centenaire, after manual harvesting of the grapes and a temperature-controlled fermentation in steel, it ages for 4 months, partly in steel (70%) and partly in new oak barrels (30%).
Tasting Notes
Brilliant straw yellow, with greenish reflections. The nose reveals intense hints of white pulp fruit and hints of vanilla, enriched by elegant mineral puffs in the background. On the palate it is rich and full, characterized by a fresh and citrusy sip, of excellent persistence and length, for a clean and dry finish.
Pairings
Fresh and versatile, it goes particularly well with main courses of fish, grilled salmon and tuna, white meats, first and second courses of land that are not too elaborate.
