It is with the 2005 harvest that the Dogliani DOCG finally sees the light, the result of a long growth path of the producers that has led the dolcetto to take on greater complexity and richness over time, demonstrating a remarkable resistance over time. The Dogliani Superiore DOCG Vigna Tecc dei Poderi Luigi Einaudi, coming from the oldest company vineyards and left to mature in wooden barrels, is the sublimation of the great medium-aged wine, demonstrating how much good the dolcetto is able to express in Dogliani, its undisputed land of choice.
Tasting Notes
Dark ruby red, nose characterized by rich hints of fruit that turn on spicy and slightly balsamic notes. Full-bodied, tasty and rich, pleasantly tannic with a spark of freshness that perfectly outlines the contours. Slightly almondy closes for a finish of excellent persistence.
Pairings
For the whole meal, the Vigna Tecc dei Poderi Luigi Einaudi is Dogliani that goes well with stuffed pasta such as the traditional agnolotti del plin.
