Grape native to France, like its brother Pinot Nero from which it derives due to a gemmary mutation, it is thought that Pinot Grigio reached Friuli more than a century ago and here, thanks to the favorable pedo-climatic conditions and the nature of the soil, it has found the perfect habitat to express its characteristics of versatility, lightness and elegance, both in color and in taste, deserving in all respects the nickname of Prince of Friuli. Puiatti, thanks to the rigorous and exclusive vinification techniques in steel, has been able to raise it to the fullest, making it a fragrant and appreciated wine even outside the territory of origin.
Tasting Notes
Straw yellow in color with an unmistakable coppery hue, to the nose it recalls linden flowers on a background of tropical fruit such as pineapple and banana. The taste is inviting and pleasant, perfectly matching the smell, balanced with soft and persistent final notes.
Pairings
Excellent as an aperitif, ideal in combination with dishes based on fish, crustaceans and molluscs but with its character it can easily hold up horse rags or stewed snails.
