With a history spanning more than five centuries, Château Margaux is one of those Grands Crus that make up the reputation of the wines of the Bordeaux region and more particularly of the left bank, in the Médoc. The reputation will be confirmed by the recognition of the title of Premier Grand Cru Classé in the Official Classification of 1855, where Margaux is the only one of the four castles presented to have obtained a score of twenty out of twenty.
Château Margaux owes its peculiarity to its rare and unique terroir. The estate's vineyard highlights the area's black grape variety, Cabernet Sauvignon, without forgetting Merlot, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc. The clayey-limestone soils of the estate give life to legendary wines, with a lively and sensual bearing. Refinement, rare elegance and complexity are the characteristics of the wines of Château Margaux.
Château Margaux 2008 develops finesse, purity, charm and depth on the nose. In the mouth, the wine is powerful, showing density, length and richness. The tannins are beautiful and give a firm texture and fantastic length.
It is perfect to be paired with red meats, aged hard cheeses and dishes based on game birds or noble poultry, prepared with sophisticated and refined recipes.
