Originally this wine was known with the name of "Brunello White Label" and was renamed Rosso di Montalcino in 1983 when the DOC was established. Faithful to the style that characterizes all Biondi-Santi wines, the Rosso stands out for its fragrant and fruity soul, which makes it perfect to be tasted even at a young age.
THE 2018 VINTAGE - An average cool year, marked by abundant rains, which accompanied us throughout the entire vegetative cycle. In general, the summer saw temperatures below the seasonal averages. The harvesting period of the higher and cooler areas was anticipated by a few days of north wind which helped to dry bunches and plants well. The harvest began on September 16 and lasted 8 days with several repetitions and severe selection of the grapes in the vineyard.
