A particular wine not only for aging on the seabed in the beautiful Baia del Silenzio in Sestri Levante, but also for the choice of the blend used (Bianchetta, Vermentino and Cimixià) to produce a classic method sparkling wine. Pierluigi Lugano, a living institution of Ligurian viticulture, amazes us once again with this wonderful “Abissi” Spumante.
The bottles rest in metal cages at a depth of 60 meters for 26 months, with the sea currents lulling the wine in place of man. The disgorgement is then carried out without sugar dosages. And once it returns to the surface, as evidence of its history, each bottle of “Abissi” brings with it encrustations of oysters and small crustaceans, protected by a special film. A particular sparkling wine with a strong personality, perfect for those looking for a unique bottle.
Tasting Notes
Brilliant straw yellow, the “Abissi” Classic Spumante is characterized by an intense aroma that ranges from vegetable to iodized, accompanied by a fine and persistent perlage. A strong and persistent minerality returns to the taste, which reminds us of the reason for its name.
