The Sforzato della Valtellina "Fruttaio" by Rainoldi is a robust and important red wine, elegant and produced exclusively in favorable years since the grapes come from the best vineyards cultivated in Nebbiolo in the terraced sub-areas of Grumello, Valgella and Valtellina Superiore. A red that fully represents heroic viticulture: the vineyards are literally perched and perched on the steepest and most inaccessible slopes of the Rhaetian side.
The Sforzato "Fruttaio" bunches are left to dry on racks in Cà Rizzieri, the highest loft in Rainoldi, located 500 meters above sea level, where the grapes benefit from a dry and ventilated climate, ideal support for natural drying. . Fermentation and aging in new French oak “Allier” barriques for 15 months and bottle aging for more than 12 months.
At the glass is presented rgarnet bone. The nose expresses a psmoke intensely spicy, with hints of fruit in alcohol and notes of coffee, cocoa and dried grapes. The taste is caldo, vigorous, austere, round and very elegant.
It goes perfectly with local game and aged cheeses. It can also be tasted as a meditation wine.
