From a careful selection of the grapes from the Lapio vineyard, a Taurasi is born that enhances the praiseworthy potential of Aglianico, one of the most famous historical grape varieties in the Campania hinterland. The name of the label, CampoRe, is inspired by the homonymous district, Campore, where the vineyard stands, whose pun evokes the particular propensity for viticulture in this blessed countryside, so much so that it could have been the campaign of a king. Bristly and ventilated hills, soils of volcanic origin, the perfect conditions to allow the grapes of this late vine to ripen. Time gives it incredible complexity, many nuances and gives the tannin that finesse that makes the sip of Taurasi Riserva CampoRe a mystical, albeit elegantly austere experience.
Tasting Notes
Intense ruby color with garnet reflections, the nose offers a broad and complex bouquet, intense, with notes of cherry, wild berries, spicy hints of violets, tobacco and mineral notes. Full and austere, velvety and rightly tannic, on the palate it is characterized by notes of plum, black cherry and black pepper. The remarkable structure makes it particularly long-lived.
Pairings
Accompanies roasted red meats, game, spice-based dishes, truffles and aged cheeses.
